McCabe Earns Academic All-District Lindsay McCabe is First Team Academic All-District for her academic and athletic prowess at Syracuse GREENWOOD, Ind. - Due to her achievement on the court and in the classroom, Lindsay McCabe is named to CoSIDA's Capital One Academic All-District team. Her credentials earn her the highest honor at the district level as she is one-of-seven Division-I women's volleyball players to earn First Team recognition. McCabe finished her undergraduate degree last semester Summa Cum Laude as a Biology major with a minor in Mathematics. Prior to graduation she was awarded the Senior Biology Outstanding Achievement Award by the University she maintained Athletic Director's Honor Roll and Dean's List all four years in which she attended. The Georgetown, Ontario native was recognized year in and year out in the ACC and BIG EAST conferences as well, earning All-ACC honors a season ago and All-BIG EAST honors in 2010-11 and 2011-12. On the court, McCabe is one of the University's finest to put on a 'Cuse volleyball uniform. As a middle blocker, McCabe is Syracuse's all-time leader in block assists with 488 and ranks second in blocks per set (1.23), third in total blocks (565), sixth in block solos (77) and is tied for the eighth most sets played by a member of the Orange with 461. McCabe has just seven matches left play in her career at Syracuse with two home matchups set for this weekend. Syracuse will welcome Clemson and No. 25 Duke to the Women's Building with its match against the Tigers slated for 7:00 PM Friday and its attempt at knocking off one of the top teams in the country set for Sunday at 1:00 PM.
