The numerous times that other players failed to finish around the cage (Simmons, Birtwistle, Hiltz to a lesser extent) were just as big of a factor in the near loss as him failing to finish in iso situations. I encourage a fresh look at the film with fresh eyes. Tons of misses around the cage that should have been assisted goals. More blame to go around than just Spallina for our lack of insurance goals.
