"Designated for Assignment" is a euphemism for dumping with extreme prejudice. The Yankees are hoping beyond imagination that A-Hole's punishment is shortened. I don't think there is any doubt that it will be cut substantially . The court battle looming will be too much for Selig to stomach. The losers here are the Yankees and their fans as well as MLB integrity.
