Villanova is going to run through the Lame East Conference

Nova will go 17-1 or 16-2 in conference, maybe a tough game or two vs SJU or Butler, and be ranked top 10 all season. They'll lose in the tourney early when they get unfamiliar refs who actually call fouls. Mark it down.

Well if they get the kid glove treatment from the refs, yes. But the big east's record overall is better than I would have predicted. Even lowly DePaul is 6-4 at the bottom tied with Marquette. Now yes they probably played really stinky teams, but no one else has more than three losses and St. John's and Seton Hall only have one each. So the big east should be formidable and pretty damn interesting.

You know what's funny? This is going to be looked at us one of their best wins. But having a close loss to them probably isn't going to do anything for us.

We can try and kick the Big East but the reality is the ACC is 1-6 against them this year, the Big East is 2nd in RPI - the ACC is 4th. They'll probably get at least half their conference in the tournament which I don't think we will.

It's ok to say the Big East is still good basketball. It is. Very good at the moment.
