Apparently he was just on TV and told Rachel Culver he will not play in the bowl game.

Just a guess but wouldn’t be surprised that it was surgery to fix a lingering issue he could play through.

Yeah he had that weird wrap contraption on his shoulder/arm most of the season and a collar earlier in it. I don’t think he was 100% healthy at all this season.

Noticed the same, didn't seem fluid this year. Struggled catching at times. Seemed like he couldn't raise his hands above his head also.
I thought about staring a thread about what happened to his production this year.

I thought about staring a thread about what happened to his production this year.

He was much more fluid in motion last year which is why some of us were high on him and considering his performance against Clemson. This year he looked rigid from day 1.

My wife's family is from Long Island so we always root extra special for him.

It would have helped if he was actually thrown catchable balls this year. Seems like every time he was targeted, he had to make an unnatural adjustment on the ball.

And it looks like they had him bulk up too, which I'm sure didn't help with agility.

If this injury was another major factor in his productivity, that's just too much to overcome

We know the real Dan Villari, and I really hope he gets back to form and tears it up next season

I would assume he had labral repair based on the sling he wore this season. That contraption help keep the shoulder from dislocating.

You can probably understand why Coach Fran doesn’t want to publicize the injury status of his players.

Fans: Villari is out, not playing.

Wazzu: Check. Take preparing for him out of the game prep.

Fans: A certain defensive player is out for the game.

Wazzu: Check. Let’s game plan to attack there and exploit the inexperienced player.

I wouldn’t be surprised Wazzu has some 20 year old student intern monitoring the board. Why not? We have board members who monitor our opponents fan forums.
