Grossi totaled five points in a pair of one-goal losses to Vermont, adding to her team-leading 13 points. In Friday’s overtime loss to the Catamounts, Grossi gave the Orange an early lead, scoring the first goal of the game four minutes into the contest. The freshman added two assist later in the game, including assisting on the goal that send the Orange to overtime by winning the faceoff cleanly back to her teammate who finished the game-tying score. The Winnipeg, Manitoba native won 14-of-24 face-offs on Friday. In Saturday’s game, Grossi chipped in a pair of assist as well, recording helpers on each of Syracuse’s two first period goals. She finished as a +1 on the weekend. Saturday’s game was Grossi’s third-straight multi-point effort.
