Wake Forest Predictions...

If we roll Shrader out and use his strengths: 35
WF: 24

If we run dives up the middle everydown: 10
WF: 30

WF 38
SU 17

Likely the most sound team we will play all year

This has the making of a typical Cuse upset after a disappointing loss. In the dome against an opponent that prob is a little over confident. 34-24 cuse!
Yep Cuse 31 wake 27.

Missed the game due to a friggin wedding but what little I saw and read on my phone with friend updates and a quick peek here and there, etc., left me in the depths of despair all afternoon, until after the game when I finally had time to see what happened and read all the comments. It’s left me VERY optimistic.

A few reasons: What I saw as a stupid decision to not go for the field goal in the first quarter, and still hold fast to that belief, nonetheless will be perceived by the team as not only not a negative, but just the opposite as a positive in their minds showing belief in the team.

Haven’t watched the game yet, but it’s apparent the GS played well enough for us to have been in a position to win, winning over a lot of people confirming my thoughts on the kid from day one. As others have said we can win every game on the schedule going forward (and yep fully realize we can also lose every game).

The casual fan around here in Syracuse who have no clue mostly, will look to this as a net positive taking a perennial power down to the wire in their own barn. I am already seeing interest in the wake game from some casuals in general and as a result of this game. Meaning and Translation?

It is going to be looked at as an event in this town, and we will have a good large loud and enthusiastic crowd. Some of the above mentioned will limit and reduce the negative hangover effect for the team this, and they will see the optimism of a now productive offense, a good and potentially great defense, a fan base reengaging, all with an opportunity to get on the National radar with a win and upset. And most importantly we have enough talent to do it and I’m not seeing any scary stuff on the injury reports.

I’m 5-0 on the season with prognostications (accounting for the Shrader factor) and I see a big win this weekend.

(Big) game on ladies and gents!

I think you're right. The casual fan knows the brand, and Florida State is a good one. I remember the game we hosted them in 2004. They took over that downtown Marriott on Fayette St. and the train was still working back then, and there was a LOT of fun to be had on that train ride. Hell of game, too. We put a real scare into them that night.

Might get an extra 5,000 fans for Wake, IMO. I don't think they've come close to 20,000 yet, actually in the seats, but I expect they will next game.

Wake 34
Syracuse 24

We lost to Rutgers and FSU and wake is better then both those teams significantly better. Hope I am wrong!!

Orange 31
Demon Deacon 28

Louisville ran for over 200 against them. ‘Cuse needs to control the pace and speed of game with Tucker and GS running the ball and keep it out of hands of Hartman. The defense needs a few stops and 1 turnover.

I like this post.

We haven’t been held under 35 all year yet the majority of you predict the low 20s? You could possibly win as I think any team could beat us if we are off. But it’s much more likely to be an FSU type scoring game than a low 20s affair.

Im not ready to make a score prediction yet. I dont know if we will win. But Wake is being dramatically overrated by many.

They have, IMO, one good win.

Old Dominion? Norfolk State? The same Florida State team we just should have beat? A 3 point survival at home over Lousville?

Good team that SHOULD be favored, but IMHO absolutely gettable if we play our best game.

Wake crushed FSU. We didn't.
