As MSO said above doing something once means nothing.  An aspect of talent is consistency. Anybody can do something once (not exactly true - I will never dunk unless we get a 6' hoop).

If your definition of talent is to assume that any highly recruited player is talented, then everybody is talented and the word loses any perspective. Talent is a relative thing. Any highly recruited player would be talented at a prep level. That does not mean that they are talented at a collegiate level. Just as most talented collegians will not be viewed as talented pros.

So Taylor scored 25 once over a year ago. This season his only double digit game against a P5 opponent was the 10 he got in the Wake blowout. Doesnt that say something ????

So Bell is a great three point shooter when totally open. He lacks the skill to create, he lacks the hustle and anticipation to rebound. Where is the talent in terms of playing the game of basketball ? The ability to jump high does not mean he has basketball talent.

Neither Taylor or Bell can guard anybody well.

I dont mean to pick on Taylor or Bell, but they were the two guys you specifically named. Could certainly expand the conversation to include most others on this roster.
