We sit at 2-4 with little room left to get to St. Pete at 6-6. I'm assuming Clemson is a loss...we need 4 out of 5 with the remaining games. A tough task for sure but a win this weekend is imperative to get to 6-6. I see WFU and NCSt as the likely wins. We are going to need to take 2 out of 3 from (DUKE, @Pitt and @BC).

Wake has a tough defense and an anemic offense. Sound familiar? I think we win by 7 though. I really see this season coming down to away at Pitt and BC.

Bottomline: This team is not a disaster. It is playing at a much higher level than a 6 years ago under GRob.

agree this weeks game is huge to get a win that the team and coaching staff needs let alone us diehards that crave a win. Also be less pressure at Clemson

im not penciling in Clemson as a loss just yet since there qb is out for our game with a broken bone in his hand

I currently have @wake and BC as wins home vs nc state as win then the last 3 are up in the air even though Clemson will be tough

Not so fast, my friend!

We are going to beat Wake by 14+ and with Clemson's QB out we have a chance.
You are spot on with the season coming down to BC and Pitt.
Go Orange!

if our defense give up more than 17 points this week id be very disappointed since Wake scored 13 combined in last 2 games,1 being against mediocre fsu defense where we got 20 even though we should of had 24 plus

Big deal. Not a very high bar. I don't know why some people still want to point out that "at least it's better than the Grob years". I aspire to a lot more.

I wouldn't expect any different from you.

BTW - while that is true, I'm just busting your chops :D

NC State has a strong offense so I am not counting that as a win anymore ...

With Deshaun Watson out, it gives us a chance. A small chance, but a chance. If he was playing - fuget about it.

I'm bullish. I think we beat Wake and NC St at home, Pitt on the road, and split the BC/Duke games. At least I hope that's the case :)

beating wake at home does nothing since it wont count til 2015 since were playing them at wake this year:)

As do I. 6 wins is such a low bar. My fear is that 6 wins is becoming the goal to get to bowl for extra practice time. Without anyone really caring about what bowl it is.

It's not like preseason, people were asking for 6 wins. Now that we are half way through the season, sitting at 2-4... Yeah people are hoping we go 4-2 to close out the season. That's just being realistic at this point, not having low expectations. Bowl games help you keep momentum as a program. Less than six wins REALLY hurts. But there's little difference between 6,7, or 8 wins.

How about this, Less than 6 wins is totally unacceptable by anyone. Fans, admins, etc nn

It's a playoff run here and right now they have to beat Wake. Leave it all on the field for that game and worry about the rest on Sunday. This team has the talent to sweep the rest of the schedule and lose it all as well. If they can eliminate the foolish stuff and take advantage of opportunities along with keeping the injuries to a minimum (plus hopefully get some guys back) there is a chance to still have a successful season.
