Men's Soccer Want to Play in the SU Men’s Soccer Golf Tournament?

Me and orangesox44 are forming a team. We need two more players and are hoping to pick up two from the board.

I believe the tournament is happening on Saturday July 27th. I believe it is going to be played at Pompey Golf Club, up in the hills off Route 91 just south of Route 20. It is a scenic and hilly course that is always in good shape. It includes some great views of Syracuse, including Onondaga Lake and the JMA Dome. On a clear day you can see the cooling towers in Oswego.

Cost is $150. I believe this includes golf, a cart, and a steak dinner afterwards. I believe a bunch of former players play, as well as the coaches and maybe some current players as well. I think Coach Mac has a nice talk after the round before dinner where he talks about how the team is looking, players go watch out for, etc.

If you are an SU soccer fan, it is a great event to attend. Mark and I don’t care if you are good or not. This is an event to have fun, not stress out about winning. If you are interested in attending, please let me know.

SU Soccer Golf Tournament

This is a great tournament, and a fun way to support the soccer program. Ian, the coaches, their families, and the players should get a side gig during the summer and run golf tournaments in CNY, because they do an excellent job. Bring a few extra $$ as they have items up for silent auction, and as well as surprise gift bags for a small donation that is well worth the money.
