Was Donnie limping?

Yes, looked like he tweaked his foot late in 2nd half. kept playing but given the history something to keep an eye on

I know it's tough taking him out of the game but Red has to keep his pitch count down so to speak.

Others have to step up their game to help this.
Red needs to win as many games as he can. If Donnie goes down, it will be the excuse for year 4. We had the team, it just couldn’t stay healthy. And there may be some legitimacy to it. Healthy—this team seems top 25.

Nah, it’s been made clear no excuses will be accepted. Injuries aren’t a rare or a Syracuse specific thing.

If a sophomore in college needs a “pitch count” then basketball might not be for him

That depends on the impact of the player…
Strong disagree, if he lost 5 players for the season? Maybe but losing 1? If you have a 10M roster you should be able to make the tournament with or without Donnie. It’s the bare minimum

That’s not the point- the point is in regard to evaluating a team without their top player vs with. Whether that is making the tourney vs not or a major seeding difference it’s a key factor. Especially if the results are statistically different.

But for the evaluation to be somewhat meaningful don't you have to also evaluate every opponent who may have a player or two out with injuries or other reasons? I don't think the NCAA considered a team's player availability to seed them only the results...but in the context of this I think I have seen enough to know whether Red should stay or go regardless if Donnie's playing or not.

I mean sure, and if this was year 2 he’d get the benefit of the doubt.

Maybe beat Hofstra at the very least
