He said that the move made no sense to him. Why would we go from a conference where we have a leading voice to one where the leaders are already extablished and we are not one of them. Syracuse had an outsized role because of the success of our basketball, football and lacrosse programs (at the point when the first ACC expansion occurred.)

Maryland always chafed at the dominance in the ACC of the NC schools. I suspect SU fans will eventually become more unhappy even though the dominace of the NC schools has been diluted with these new members (SU, Pitt and UL)
