Eh, big boy is going to need to lose some weight. He's not very athletic in this tape, though did flash some athleticism in HS. He could be very, very good if he trimmed down. Jenkins was actually out of a small high school in CT. He played fullback at 300+ and ran away from people. He was a relative unknown that blew up when he went to JUCO. I'd be willing to bet if Williams lives in the weight room this summer he may have bigger offers down the line.

He played his true frosh year. If he plays his sophomore year of JUCO, he will have 3 years to play 2 seasons. I know he was high on us in HS. I assume we remain in good shape with him.

Outstanding! Guy seems like an SEC-type of d-lineman with that type of size and ability to move.

Really? I would love to land the kid but I thought he needs to work on firing off the line as well as getting too upright and getting caught up on his blocker instead of shedding them quickly. He does do a good job of fighting against the pressure though and obviously is quite strong.

alot of DT's coming out high schools do that. He will be coached up once he gets some D1 coaches correcting that. The potential is there though.

Seems to fit the Marrone desire to have a big run stuffer in the middle, I seem to remember him saying that he prefers more beef in at least one of the DT's up front, hopefully a Ted Washington type mould.

Appreciate it but nowhere close yet. Just a former HS player that understands the game alot better now than when I was playing. Maybe if/when NovaOrange is looking for a D line/LB coach I could get an interview though? Always loved defense more for whatever reason.

Certainly makes it easier to be optimistic about SU currently. Offense will continue to come around but the defense could be really fun to watch this year.

Name another DT recruit that we have had in the last 10 years that has had more potential than Wayne. Im not saying he is going to pan out but Syracuse hasnt exactly been known as a DT school. I have watched film of this kid and IF and granted it is a huge if he puts the effort in say he slims down to 325 of muscle he really could end up being pretty special

DTs need to have a certain quick twitch that his film doesn't show. Doesn't mean he can't improve that but to say a juco fresh could be one of our best ever is VERY,VERY premature.
