We are playing Nova in 2014

Correct.

Nunes retweeted a Nova reporter's tweet. The Nova reporter got the info directly from Nova's FB coach. Pitt in 2013, Cuse in 2014 and UConn in 2015.

I'd post the tweet but I can't access Twitter from my office computer.

In football?

Say whatnow? @Brian_Ewart Nova football is scheduled to play at Pitt in 2013, at Syracuse in 2014 & at Connecticut in 2015.

Brian Ewart@Brian_Ewart
@NunesMagician According to Villanova's head football coach, Andy Talley.

Even ACC teams play FCS schools.

In 2014:

BC is playing Rhode Island.
Clemson - Coastal Carolina
Duke - Elon
FSU - Citadel
Ga Tech - Wofford
Miami - Florida A&M
NC State - Presbyterian
UVA - Richmond
Va Tech - William & Mary

Oh, and Pitt is playing Delaware in the Joe Flacco Bowl.

What division are they in 2014? Would that be our FCS game?

They're still slated to be in the Colonial in 2014. With Navy joining the NNBE that year, that conference could be looking for a 14th member (unless others, e.g. Louisville, bolt). Perhaps 'Nova will find their way in by then.

Methinks this was a condition of our early exit from the NNBE.

It's not at all unusual for the ACC teams to play a FCS opponent each year. Some of them are quite good, so be careful. I think WVU is playing James Madison at FedEx field this year. That's a rather large venue for that type of game. It would be unusual to play more than one in a season because I think only one can count toward bowl eligibilty each year.

So they will be FCS?

They're going to be FCS for a long time. According to Andy Talley, the ship has sailed: ""I think that ship (Villanova joining the FBS ranks) has sailed," Talley said. "We are pretty bitter about how we were treated in that process. I just hope all of this expansion stuff settles down and let's us have a conference to play football in for the next few years."

As long as Howie doesnt suit up we should be ok

You mean when Nova made that big committment to FBS football by saying they'd play in a 19K seat soccer stadium, while getting admission into a then auto-bid BCS league. Yeah, that treatment was inhumane, really.

I tipped off SU about a certain MAC team that just lost a game in 2015..and would most likely look at doing a guarantee game or a 2 for 1 with SU. With the odd/even ACC schedule we need a few 2 for 1s with MAC schools.

LOL. I personally am not implying anything. Just passing on an Andy Talley quote to indicate where they stand in terms of a move to FBS. I suspect my own feelings/thoughts on their (ahem) "efforts" to move up to FBS mirror your own.

holy crap, put this 1 in millhouse's 'all football coaches are meatheads, file'.

nova was given every chance under the sun for 30+ years to go d1.

Oh, I got that, didn't mean to direct that screed at you.
