Two years ago, we got off to a solid start in the Big East and got up to #3 in the rankings (just like this year), and then we lost back-to-back games to Villanova and Pitt (just like this year). Then we returned home to play a game that we all thought would get us back on track, and Seton Hall punched us in the mouth.
Notre Dame is an extremely well-coached and fundamentally sound team. They can't match our athleticism, but they are arguably the best passing team in the Big East. In my opinion, the season is at a crossroads right now - tomorrow's game will go a very long way in determining if we can still manage to get a high protected NCAA tourney seed.
