They don't like/don't want to play defense and we can make shots against them. It will obviously be a tough game, but it will be played a lot differently than the game tonight. Be respectable on the boards and we have a shot
With Ville out and Carolina a paper tiger, I don't see the ACC doing much in the tourney.
Maybe someone gets hot, but I don't see it.
We're 1.5 games behind Duke with 4 to play, so there's still a shot. But yeah it's unlikelyI'm pretty sure Duke's unlikely win tonight means we are almost assured of being eliminated from top 4 in league race, right?
Not sure I'd really want a double-bye this year. If we truly need one ACCT win to make the Dance, I'd rather that game be against a 'lower-level' team, not a decent team or a team playing (possibly) their 3rd game when we haven't played one yet.I'm pretty sure Duke's unlikely win tonight means we are almost assured of being eliminated from top 4 in league race, right?

There's that, too.If we played well enough to get a double bye we'd be a stone cold lock for the dance
Sam Perkins was a killer at UNC because he could bury the outside shot, even beyond the shorter 3 pt. line of that era.If Brice Johnson had a reliable mid-range game, last night's game would have been no contest. Similar to the SU zone, Duke's D gave Johnson pretty open touches near the foul line. I think he is a decent shooter from 15-17 feet, but he gave up those looks a number of times. I know it's a tendency to compare guys wearing the same uniform in different eras, but I don't see Johnson as similar to Perkins.Brice Johnson is awesome, best player I have seen this year for any team. He is so smooth, sneaky athletic for his size, reminds me of Sam Perkins in that way. They lost because they were 1-13 from 3 tonight. What a waste of another virtuoso performance by Brice. He is the player TRob needs to aspire to become.

Johnson is great in the run and gun game, put-back dunks look great on TV. But when the game becomes a chess match, Roy doesn't know how to run the offense through him. Well, maybe he knows but he isn't doing it very well.
He is way bigger than 6"8" though. When he did the 94 foot walk with Bilas last night, he towered over him by 2-3 inches. He is also taller than Meeks by 2 inches. I have stood face to face with Bilas and he is legit 6'8". I would put Johnson at 6'10 1/2, not that it matters much.Yea, those are good observations. Projecting Brice in the NBA, he will need to introduce a reliable handle and jumper, as at only 6'8" he's too small to play PF. He has yet to attempt a 3 in his NC career, so it is hard to tell if his game will translate to the next level, but I enjoy watching him work without the ball, let alone the monster put backs. He is definitely the center of their half court, has great footwork and hands, and plays the 2 man game out at the arc well enough to always find a lane for a dump off or put back.

Though Johnson is a really good college player, I've been much more impressed with Ingram . He is like Melo except with better guard skills. If I'm an NBA GM, I'd take him over Ben Simmons
