Saturday games:

Ohio St @ Kansas.
Kentucky @ Indiana.

Tough away games for both teams, Indiana is an underrated 8-0 team.

The question remains though, with this scandal up in the air, do we even want to be ranked #1?

Hell yes. Screw what the media thinks. Bring it!

I guess this is really one of those "not to get ahead of ourselves" threads. I was surprised that we didn't get any first place votes this week in the AP poll so who would know what would happen next week.

Not sure I understand your point. Does whether we're ranked #1 or #3 have any affect on whether Bernie molested children?

I would be shocked if either of those teams lose. I think they both win comfortably. If they do lose though, of course I want Cuse to be #1.

We always want to be ranked #1, always!

It definitely would affect the level of scrutiny & criticism aimed at the program. Two things it definitely doesn't need any more of. To me rankings don't really mean anything this early in the season, I'd rather be ranked #2 and possibly stay out of a few headlines for once.

Rankings don't mean much in December ... we have to get by a decent Marshall first and then a very mediocre George Washington team on Saturday. I don't see OSU losing to Kansas even tho they are at Kansas. Kansas is not near as good as they have been past 2-3 years... unless they catch them sleeping. Kentucky at Indiana a good one but is like a home game for both ... good rivalry. Indiana is a sleeper but hope that they catch Kentucky napping.

Crean needs a marque win like you read about, he is on the hottest of hot seats

You'd be shocked if kansas lost at home? How often does that happen? Not many teams go into fog allen and win, much less win comfortably.

I wouldn't necessarily count out Kansas.

Playing at the Phog is not an easy task. OSU is clearly very good, but Kansas isn't bad this year.

If this game were at OSU, it would be a slam dunk. At Kansas? It's a very interesting game.

I've watched Indiana play a couple of times this year. While improved they should pose no challenge to Kentucky. I would be stunned if this game is within 10 points. Kentucky is far too athletic and the only way they lose is if they beat themselves.

Do we want to be ranked #1? lol, how many times was this asked when there was no scandal? Many. Seems that a lot of SU fans are scared of a #1 ranking. I want it always and regardless of anything.

I'd love it.

If we got it next week, there's a good chance we'd have it for awhile.

Agree. I dont get people not wanting it, its awesome to see a 1 next to syracuse. I think it comes from 1996 and 2003, both those teams flew under the radar all year so people think we have better years when we're not hyped or whatever.

Only way Kentucky loses if they let Indiana slow the game down and minimize the number of possessions.

As someone who knows more than the average shmoe on this subject, I can tell you that this can't be further than the truth.

I'm pretty amazed at all the heavyweights who have played each other this early season. Is it always this much? I know Kentucky always plays Indiana, but it just seems like it's all over the place. I think Michigan State opened it's season with North Carolina and Duke, right? And then still had to play the Big 10 - ACC challenge.

tOSU may be without Sully for the KU game. Missed a game this past weekend with back spasms.

Okay, so you can plan your day accordingly, here are the specifics:

3:15 Ohio State/Kansas ESPN
5:15 Kentucky/Indiana ESPN
7:00 Syracuse/George Washington SNY/TWC

Now that's what I call a sweet triple-header!

DOH!!!
