With all the hype surrounding UNC this season I'm surprised we aren't in one of the 3:30 or 4 time slots
Probably two part
1) ACCN now must show a required amount of games and
2) ACCN needs a decent game to help them draw complaints to Comcast, who does not currently carry the network... although, they tried similar tactics in the beginning of the season last year to no avail

Nooners me likee... Oh wait we're talking football start times?

Not horrible. While night games would’ve been great, noon is probably better than 3:30/4:00 in Chapel Hill, temperature wise.

Hoping for some fans and a later kickoff for The New Dome opener.

SU is planning for fans...more info coming. Maybe they got some positive news from Albany? I think the first game in October is the hope. Two week advance sale

I have 3 cases of FL craft beer I bought for tailgates and to support the local breweries during Covid. I have a beer issue...guess I'll be a Saturday lush

You’re saying that almost like it’s a *bad* thing.

Wow, still can't believe we are in September and gonna make a run at playing this season. Game times are the real deal and gets our attention. That said, it still all seems a bit FUGASI.

2 noon ACCN games and a Friday night game on ESPN.

Super...

EDIT: No fans at first 2 games. Noon makes sense. ACCN is “eh,” but maybe they’re trying to up but rates in the NE. The Friday night ESPN game isn’t great, but at least it’s ESPN at night. Other schools are getting hit worse. I’m not impressed, but I’m not mad anymore. I’ll grudgingly take it.

the noon starts allow for us to arrive the night before, and leave in less than 24 hours to get around the quarantines, which is probably a factor

Heard the same thing. I love the Dome but man being an indoor stadium is kind of a disadvantage when it comes to hosting fans at this point.

Indoor stadium, yes. But... it’s not like being in a restaurant. There’s a lot of “air space” in The New Dome that’s not directly spread to your “neighbors”.

True, but it's still not as good as an open air stadium, especially in the concourses.
