The thing that sucks is that's exactly how this roster should have worked out. We got one semi-proven guy in the portal, and one upside guy that hadn't played much, and we brought in a freshman QB that was able to participate in spring ball.

As [USER=984]richmondcuse03[/USER] noted before, the whiff was on the evaluation of Collins. Now we seem to also see the staff hesitant to hand Carney the ball.

I'm not sure what more we could have done. Gotten a better transfer than Collins? Sure, but how would we have known, and the guy would have wanted to be here. Gotten a better incoming freshman than Carney? Sure, but who would we have needed to get that the staff would have trusted more than it seems they do Carney right now?

We got the situation we said we needed, it just hasn't worked out. Not sure what else you can do.
