Not trying to candy coat the 0-2 start, but it isn't altogether unexpected given the competition / playing away from home. So, we're in a hole--and have 10 remaining games to pick up 6 wins and get to bowl eligibility.

Never say never [yes, I remember the Nebraska upset], but beating Clemson and Florida State with the offense we've displayed thus far doesn't seem realistic. At best, a very low probability. So let's assume that those are both going to end up "L's."

That leaves us 8 games to get the needed 6 wins. Suddenly, the road seems a lot tougher.

Fortunately, the back half of the schedule [sans the GT game on the road] all seem like winnable games. Doesn't mean that we WILL win them, just that we have a puncher's chance in all of them. So getting to 6 wins is hardly unattainable, but our margin for accomplishing it is going to be pretty tight after starting out 0-2.

Going by where we're, and everyone else is, currently at...
Should Win
Wagner
Tulane

Maybe?
Boston College
@Maryland
@ NC State
Pitt
Wake Forest

LOL
Clemson
@Florida State
@Georgia Tech

@Georgia Tech

Really? Why do people think this?

Is this the same people that gave SU zero shot at Mizzou? I mean, oooo 7-7 last year. Oh noes. They got STOMPED by BYU last year in a game they completed three, thats 3, passes and had 150 yards.

Ant that game was in Atlanta.

Syracuse ABSOLUTELY can beat Georgia Tech.

There are two absolutes on this schedule, a win versus Wagner and a loss at FSU. Obviously, I believe we lose to Clemson but in the dome anything can happen.

AT this point we could be a 2 win team, a 7-8 win team, I just don't know. Get the right qb in there, you never know because he's the one the team wants as well, strange things happen when stuff like that happens.

Win the next two -- which we should -- & we need only go 4-4 in conference. If we can't be mediocre in conference, then we have more to worry about then the best way to get to the Beef O'Brady Bowl.

Absolutely. Here are the free recaps from the conference from week two. With a few notable exceptions, Clemson and Miami, it isn't that pretty.
State bearly beat Richmond and the BC/Wake game .. well it was BC/Wake...not impressive and that was just our division.

In two games Syracuse has scored 71 points.
In one game Georgia Tech has scored 70 points.

I'm going by the current level of play. As it stands now we'll get stomped by this year's Georgia Tech team.

No chance in hell. I'd be thrilled if we kept it to within 21 points

Trilled based on the last 2 games and the fact that we are playing a top 5 team with a heisman trophy candidate who just beat Georgia. I'm a realist and dont "hope" we win games (not accusing you of being this). We have no shot in this game. I will be there rooting my arse off but it aint happening.

I think in the dome there is always a chance but I am hardnosed

Dude I hear you. Nothing would please me more than to win that game. I dont see the advantage. Maybe I have been scarred too many times in the past decade of teams coming into a 3/4 filled Dome and blowing our doors off. If anything I would rather play this team outdoors in a rainstorm than in perfect conditions at home. Their speed will kill us.

Hey, I agree with you. 0-2 once again, I mean the atmosphere for the next two game should be just electric!!!!! It's the same old issue, when you start 0-2 fans just look and say same old same old...
