We lost 72-80 in the Dome after leading 39-36 at halftime. Grayson Allen, (who I didn't even remember was a player on their team) scored 5 points, had 1 rebound, 2 assists and a steal in 8 minutes of play.

Then we lost 54-73 in Durham Allen again played 8 minutes but didn't score. He had two rebounds and a block.

They were 35-4. We were 18-13. We competed fairly well against them.

Allen had 16 point sin the national title game, most of them when his team was behind. Without him playing out of his mind, Wisky wins.

We didn't compete at all in the 2nd game. They could have beaten us by 30 if they wanted to

Second game was a rout. So was 2H of game one.

I remember when I first saw Chris Mullen. He looked 12 years old.

Its a nice change of pace to have "random white guy" not be killing us

You see the talent in Allen. He was starting to contribute in March. He was too much for the Wisconsin slower guards. I think he is probably less effective vs zone.

I don't get the point of this thread.

If they could have, they would have.

I don't think K or JB would ever run the score up on each other.

Exactly. - I really enjoy your numbers analysis SWC but just watching that second half, Coach K could have picked the score and really laid off the gas pedal - and still won by 20.

I think we were a tired, frustrated, played-out team by then anyway. The first game seemed more significant to me.

I still say in a down year we showed we could give the champs a game. it wouldn't take a lot of improvement to get that good again.

That I can agree with it.

i dont put much stock in that. miami blew out duke at cameron but that doesnt mean anything for next year. we played 4 halves of basketball against duke and basically got dominated in 3 of them.
