Because it was inevitable that Pitt would score in the next 2-3 plays. Sorry but I'd rather have offensive troubles but a defense that can keep you in games, because if the defense is keeping you in it, then all it takes is one ST play, one pick-6, one anything to turn the game on it's head. What we have instead is complete hopelessness based on the fact that it doesn't matter if we score because we can't stop them from scoring in the next 5 plays. I suppose had we been playing ahead instead of from behind it would be pretty exciting, but Saturday's game was like watching a deer who feel through the ice that kept trying to climb out.
