Aside from the secondary I don't see a position in any kind of panic mode for next year's team.DEs are good with Robinson and Johnson and maybe Marona coming into the pictureDT isn't critical with Wayne and Crume there. Offensive line is "always" a issue or two but we have a couple red-shiest in the wings.Any thoughts about what concerns you the most?:noidea::rolleyes:

kicker.

seriously kicker, you could argue that the Pitt game is entirely on the inability to get kicks that good teams expect to make, also the BC game came down to the wire because of Shafer's non-trust in Norton (although he clearly redeemed himself before the game was over) and how many other times this year have we been plagued by kicking issues?

In terms of other positions, its all about the QB for me. Can Hunt or one of the young guys step up and give us above average QB play consistently? That is what has been killing us the most this season, even mediocre QB play for most of the ACC schedule would open up our running game immensely.

Next year our guys have another year of development, we are bringing in a whole host of playmakers, and if we get some solid improvement at the QB position, to where we get above average play, we should be able to hang with any team in any game next year conference wise. (Note I did not say win, I said hang with, as in be competitive).

DT
Wayne may never make it here and if he does, who knows if he'll be good at this level. Crume is good, but other than Sloan, who can we count on?

Wayne is on his official as we speak. I agree though. Haven't played in a while. He is gonna need to get in shape fast, learn the techniques. Not sure if Raymon will be ready. Sloan and Coleman both inexperienced. WR's will be better but will be the next weakest position along with Center. I think the secondary will be great if whigham is good to go. DT is the weakest

Yeah, center. Remember the state of the position before Macky? We can't run a shotgun / pistol / spread offense without a center who can make calls, snap it to the QB's hands reliably, and hold his ground.

I thought the reports about Wayne Williams were positive in that he was coming on schedule. If that is true It pushes the DT to acceptable. I also think there will be a JC addition that supports us there for at least a year presuming that Holley is Mission Impossible as he seems to indicate. Its possible an Oline kid might be asked to move. Palmer looks pretty big and a possible middle clogging player. Its just a quick thought nova suggestion.vDT is certainly a position of concern thanks. As for the center position its never easy to find consistency which Mackey gave us. A true center should be a 2015 priority if not satisfied this year.

I think Emerich will be just fine--but certainly going to miss Macky's leadership. That kid embodies SU football.

Marona is done with football.
