Video: Scott Shafer Hosts Memorial Day Pool Party for Football Team, Jumps Into Pool Game (PS; Mink)
Most of the Syracuse football team dispersed last weekend for Memorial Day, traveling home to spend time with friends and family.
But those who stuck around were invited to coach Scott Shafer's home for a pool party.
About 15 players attended, and it did not take long for a video to surface of a game whose aim is to keep a football up in the air while players jumped into the pool.
The video, filmed by Shafer's son Wolf, ends with Shafer springing out of his seat and jumping into the water.
Take a look.

What Would Make the 2014 Season Successful for You? (TNIAAM; Farrell)
With the Syracuse lacrosse season now officially over, the countdown to Aug. 29 is in full swing.
What would make 2014 successful?
That was the question asked by Gang Green Nation, our SB Nation affiliate for the New York Jets. If you're unfortunate enough to be a Jets fan like me, it's a good site to check out. (Aren't I the quite the company man?)
It got me to thinking - what are the expectations here at TNIAAM and around the Syracuse community for the upcoming college football season?
Throughout much of the last decade, the answer was very simple: reach a bowl game. We created the Quest for Beef, the mission to reach the Beef O'Brady Bowl. After Greg Robinson took almost three full years to win his sixth game, even that goal seemed too much to ask.

Can SU Pluck CB Daivon Ellison, Other Top NJ Prospects From Penn State's Backyard? (PS; Mink)
Syracuse is trying to get in on the gobs of talent in New Jersey during the 2015 recruiting cycle.
And its main recruiter in the area, first-year tight ends coach Bobby Acosta, has his eyes fixated on several Jersey prospects, including Don Bosco cornerback Daivon Ellison.
Ellison recently spoke with NJ.com about his recruitment, and Syracuse was seemingly discussed just as much as nearby Rutgers.
A good omen for the Orange?

Newest SU Verbal DE Dana Levine Says 'It Will be Hard for Me to Change My Mind' (PS; Mink)
With the spring evaluation period coming to a close this week, recruiting has gone a little more slowly than expected for Hallandale, Fla. defensive end/outside linebacker Dana Levine.
The 6-foot-3, 230-pound speed rusher, who committed to Syracuse last week, said Alabama and Clemson have shown interest, but he has only received offers from UAB and Alcorn State.
Surprising?
"I'm real surprised," Levine said Monday.
Why?
"Me personally, I feel like grades is the reason," he said.
