Nah not a quick plane trip like this, especially direct. I’m saying this not metaphorically but from experience. When you are traveling for game, you are already out of your element and routine and following A strict schedule, concentrating 100% on the task at hand meaning the game and the prep for it. When you’re home for a game, you have all the usual distractions around you to reduce one’s concentration, from your girlfriend to your friends, to the dorm antics to your school work etc. PLUS You have to wake up early, and are not as with it, and if you’re playing a team you're expected to beat then this is all magnified even more (remember for ex us at VT circa early 2000’s upset). This is unlike the visiting team, who is already, as I said, more ready focused already out of their element following the away routine and more ready to go. And if you are the underdog team (which it seems we are so often more times than not) with a legit chance at an upset cuz ur good, in that circumstance, playing away at 12 noon, you are already fired up vs ho humm mindset of the favored home team playing a team they’re expected to beat just going through the regular routine motions. This day and age coaches recognize this all and often even the home team they’ll put in a hotel the night before but it’s still on ur home turf.
