Yikes this week is barren.
Thursday September 3rd
Central Arkansas at UAB
South Alabama at Southern Mississippi

Saturday September 5th
Eastern Kentucky at Marshall
Middle Tennessee at Army
SMU at Texas State
Arkansas State at Memphis
Stephen . Austin at UTEP

Monday Labor Day September 7th
BYU at Navy

This feels like the old week 0.

It all feels weird though. Normally this time of year I’m completely psyched for the season. I’m hardly thinking about it this year - which is sad.

It just doesn't feel real. Even if it finishes, it won't have all of the things that make college football fun.

It is basically week 0 of the last couple years.

BYU-Navy is worth watching Monday night.

We do get playoff NBA and NHL in exchange for the long wait for football. But yeah.

Agreed. CFB is by far my favorite sport. I haven't really been paying any attention to it at all.

I'm still in disbelief that they're going through with it.

Yeah, the slate of games is not like a normal week 1 of the season. This season's scheduled will be very weird with some conferences not playing and those playing not starting at the same time. It will look and feel a little more normal when we get the conference games started in the ACC, SEC and Big12. Big10 and PAC12 will be kicking themselves at that point.

On a side note, the Kentucky Derby will be this Saturday

I will be watching for an entirely different reason this year than most. I am very curious to See how teams/schools handle games this week. I’ve said from the beginning that I do not expect the season to be played. I guess I’ll see...

Don't feel badly if the season is played. bnoro has been known to be wrong too. ;)

BYU-Navy is going to feel like Alabama-Georgia from an "I cannot wait to watch this" standpoint...

If anyone's looking for something tangentially related to SU in this week's games, both the UAB and Navy's DC were mentioned (at least here) as possible candidates for the SU DC job last offseason. A stretch I know, but if you're looking hard enough...

This used to be one of my favorite sports weekends of the year. Covids ruined that. Nothing against BYU or Navy love watching Navy play. But when that's your highlight game. Ugh.

Won’t feel somewhat real until next weekend... even then, CFB won’t feel “real” real until that first SEC 3:30 game on CBS.

If we have a good season, it will be fun, although we could only watch on TV
