Week 12 ACC/FBS Games for Nov 11-15

3? I saw an article this morning that said the ACC may get ZERO. It claimed that the winner of the top 5 conferences does not guarantee the ACC a spot if the winner of a non P4 conference is ranked higher in the CFP standings. In fact it said 2 nonP4 conferences may beat out the ACC. Does anyone know if this is true? If this happens, Miami may the ACC's only hope as an at large selection, possibly based on its win over ND. Not great for the ACC. And Clemson & FSU will blame everyone else.
yes but USF losing knocks the American out now.

the question will be the SEC 3 loss teams still getting in

Ala-Aub
OK-Mizzu
Vandy-Tenn

All matter for the ACC to get 2 teams in,

South Florida was the only non-P4 ranked in the CFP poll last week (#25) and they lost. Going into the ACCCG, Ga Tech will likely be 10-2, UVa could be 10-2, and SMU would be 9-3. I don't see how a non-P4 gets in over 11-2 Ga Tech or UVa. I don't think it likely they'd get in over 10-3 SMU.

Anyone would be better. If they want a HC there is Franklin or Chesney. Silverfield, Golesh, Sumrall aren't good fits but they are out there for the taking. Mullen? Dickert? HCRE probably ruined any chance for Mora. Not sure why this cycle OCs and DCs don't seem to be mentioned. Guys like Hartline, Stein, Knowles. Would they consider Reich?

I don't think they are going to have a problem finding a guy.
I hear you, but a lot of those potential new hired may be taken for the other openings, many, if not most, may be considered better jobs.

They just announced that he is coming back. It is insane IMO. Worse than us keeping Dino around too long. Locksley's best regular season is 7-5 (4-5) and we has never beaten a B1G team that had a winning conference record. Everyone he has beaten has been 4-5 or worse.

He is 37-47 overall and 17-46 in conference.

Agree. But I bet it's $$$. Including not wanting to pay out his contract. Plus the increased cost of a new coach.

Yep, every year is the same for MD. Schedule a crap OOC slate and start strong and then fall apart. Now that there aren’t divisions in the B10 and they aren’t stuck in the brutal division, he has even less of an excuse to fall apart

ACC is a one bid league. I think Miami is the best team in the conference but they likely aren’t going to the ACC title game so they are probably done. Let’s face it, the league stinks and if we had Angeli we would have taken advantage of it to some degree.

It’s interesting that the televised playoff projections yesterday listed Miami as the ACC rep.

I think it works itself out. Miami will lose at Pitt. Cold + high pressure D vs that QB. Louisville beats SMU. Which leaves UVA vs GA Tech in the ACC CG.

BTW Brohm teams just live dumb penalties don’t they?

South Florida was the only ranked G5 team this week at #24 and they lost to Navy yesterday, which helps the ACC champ

That could all easily happen. So glad Brohm’s teams do indeed, made that 2022 games one of the best SU games I have seen!

Yeah the ACC isn’t going to be left out by two G6 teams, that was only somewhat feasible if Duke had run the table. The ACC will be the fourth autobid and be ranked 11th in the 12 team playoff. So, an SEC team or Oregon will likely be the opponent

Until we lost to Wake, they were projecting UVa vs. Ole Miss in Oxford as the 6 v. 11 game.
