[QUOTE="anomander, post: 2307408, member: 2766"] A few minor upsets (very upset that I stayed up until around 2am watching the SDSU/Stanford game only for the lights to go out in the stadium as SDSU was driving with about 5 mins to go), and a few big games between top 25 teams, but overall nothing too drastic happened that will shake things up. My updated poll is as follows: 1. Alabama (3-0) - Another ho-hum W vs a decent G5 program. Big W vs FSU still holding weight 2. Clemson (3-0) - Not only did they pick up a solid road W vs my #11, but it was the dominating way they did so. Combine that with the Auburn W and they just OU...for now 3. Oklahoma (3-0) - Took care of business after big road W vs tOSU 4. Penn St (3-0) - Continue to look dominant. Legit playoff contender 5. USC(3-0) - Nice win vs a game Texas 6. Oklahoma St (3-0) - Nice little jump for the Pokes. Same as Clemson. It's not if they won, but how they won, and on the road nonetheless. Huge match up coming up this weekend 7. TCU (3-0)- Took care of business in a sandwich game (@Arkansas w/ OKST on deck) vs a solid SMU and Chad Morris 8. Michigan (3-0)- Unlike Clemson and OKST, the style points definitely weren't there vs AF, but hey a W is a W 9. Georgia (3-0) - Took care of business week after big road W @ND 10. Washington (3-0) - Haven't been tested yet, but continue to look the part 11. VT (3-0)- Freshman QB will only continue to improve. Big match up on the horizon when Clemson comes to town 12. FSU (0-1)- Whacky schedule, hurricanes leave the Noles with only 1 game played thus far (Bama) 13. tOSU (2-1)- Beat Army handily, but something just doesn't seem right. Still a ton of talent and have taken care of business outside of OU 14. Wisconsin (3-0)- BYU is definitely down this year, but still 40-6 in Provo is pretty impressive against a solid D. 15. Washington St (3-0)- East conf W vs a bad OR ST, after a nice win vs a very good Boise St. Pass the look test 16. Mississippi St (3-0)- Speaking of look test. Dominated LSU on both sides of the ball. Not flashy, but solid road W vs La Tech the week before too. 17. SDSU (3-0) - Picked up 2nd straight W vs PAC12 after huge W vs Stanford. Rashad Penny should be a Heisman candidate. Kid is a stud and Rocky Long can coach 18. Louisville (2-1) - Big drop only bc of the way they lost to Clemson. W's vs a pretty good Purdue and @UNC hold weight. 19. Oregon (3-0) - Are the Ducks back? Dominated again, this time on the road @Wyoming 20. Vanderbilt (3-0) - Vandy is for real. Nice home W vs KST. One of the better defenses I have seen all year. 21. Miami (1-0) - Same as FSU, due to weather have only had 1 game vs a crap team. We'll find out more later, but no doubt they are talented 22. Maryland - (2-0) Impressive W @ Texas holding weight, especially after how the Horns looked @USC 23. Utah (3-0) - Have taken care of business, tougher tests coming up 24. Memphis (2-0) - Good home W vs UCLA 25. So Florida (3-0) - 3 dominating W's including 2 road W's vs SJSU and Illinois On the outside (no order): Colorado (3-0), Duke (3-0) , WVU (2-1), Kentucky (3-0), Purdue (2-1), Michigan St (2-0), Cal (3-0) New to rankings: SDSU, Mississippi St, Vanderbilt Movers: Oklahoma St +3, SDSU +8, Mississippi St +9, Oregon +4, Vanderbilt +5 Losers: Louisville -7, LSU out, Tennessee out, Kansas St out Match ups to watch: NCST @ FSU, Bama @ Vanderbilt, TCU @ OKST, Michigan @ Purdue, Mississippi St @ Georgia, Penn St @ Iowa, Florida @ Kentucky, Washington @ Colorado Thoughts?
