We got the punts off today and didn’t have to sweat it mostly because VT decided not to rush after the first one… which was stupid on their part but we’ll take it.

What’s unsettling to me is they seem to be experimenting with different punt blocking schemes every week. Today they were doing this extra wide spacing thing… and keeping 2 out wide on each flank. Does any other FBS team do this?

Maybe someone can explain what they were doing?

Well I asked FB about it (before the NC State game) and he just invited me to "watch the next game and see what happens".

I'm guessing he wants an extra guy upfront to have an extra gunner for downfield coverage. But that only works if you get the ball downfield.
