season just ends and don't even get to play in a conference tournament... This season didn't have an ounce of excitement due to the lackluster play and even when it was, you had the ncaa looming around ... What a miserable year of hoops it was. Here's to the incredible improvement of Rak. Special season for him individually and he deserves recognition. The lone bright spot to this team other than Silent Gs play in the ACC.

It can only go up from here ... can't it?

Its going to be very hard these next two weeks, I am always used to at least having the hope that SU will be playing in the ncaa tournament. I am bey0nd depressed right now.

It sucks. I have no excitement about the NCAA tourney this year - none. I have fully moved on already to the spring sports - lax and baseball.
The first two days of the tourney were always my favorite days in all of sports, and this year, I'm not even concerned about it. I will watch very little of the conference tourneys.

I admit to feeling a little melancholy but I'll still watch the tournament. On the plus side I don't have to worry about a first round upset ruining my March. I'll still take 1/2 days the first Th/Fr because I have for about 20 years. Its a great day to get out with my buddies, have some adult beverages, ogle waitresses, chow some wings, and lets face it not all of the excitement of the tournament has revolved around SU. There is nothing like watching on 4 different screens games coming down to the wire. On screen 1 is a tight 8/9 game, on 2 a 13 seed is up over the 4 seed, the 3 is holding onto a 1 point lead on screen 3 and Holy crapola is North Florida really up 3 with a minute to go against UK? I won't let the NCAA ruin my enjoyment of their tournament. SU wouldn't have been in it anyhow and even though I would never miss a game on purpose there has never been much thrill watching SU play in the NIT. Not since Danny Schayes senior year with the super sophs at least. So let the Madness begin while SU licks its wounds and prepares for next year which surely will be better than this year, after all as they say in the Dome, We Are...SU! Oh and don't for one minute think that I won't be wearing my traditional game day Orange SU hat. Bring it on.

Seriously. My Eagles blow a two game lead to the frickin' Cowboys, 76ers are a laughing stock... Eagles can't sign anyone in the offseason and have traded everyone I like. Syracuses football and basketball were brutal.
It has just been a miserable sports year for me. Lets hope Federer can make a run at Wimbledon!

basketball season is over and there's still snow on the ground :(
