but dang its tough figuring out who was playing in some of those games with the wacky abbrevs they use.

I knew Nebra was probably nebraska but South had me stumped. was it south carolina, southern, south florida , south alabama, southern illinois.. but Georg was playing South too, were they playing a double header?

It was southern miss but i had to look it up.

Michi? BYU in what world is that an abbreviation thats proper?

Duke - Georg, wait i thought Georg was playing South.. maybe they both went split squad like MLB spring training does

Ohio - Weste?

Army - Easte?

The only reason people need out of town scores is because of gambling. And if you're betting that much you should get a decent cell phone and data plan.

The constant complaining about out of town scores is baffling to me. It's 2015. Use an app for Pete's sake.

Then you need to get reception in the Dome :)

The first 3 games I was able to check twitter and scores easily. Today I had a lot of issues. Must have been the extra 20k people there.

I wasn't there today, so if you say it was tough to get a signal then fine. I've never had much of a problem though.

Still don't understand why people are so obsessed with scores. You're at a game. Watch the game. You can check the scores for like 10 hours after you get home.

Give me scores or give me reception. For years, and I means YEARS we got neither.

Sorry but this is hilarious...I mean sometimes it seems they aren't even trying...

we had a whole chain of conversation about the fan experience. scores get a buzz, . rememeber back when they actually used to announce scores of relevant games? imagine if they announced the Ithaca score in game and they were winning , people would cheer. why do i have to go to a game with a phone to find out a score that matters to the team? every acc game score or Opp we have played should be shown, and any relavent score of div III too.

I dont have a bet or fantasy thing on any game but i still care/root for/against other teams and want to know whats going on. when i go to other sporting events they show scores , some even show highlights, it excites the crowd. MLB has whole scoreboards of just out of town scores.

Some people just love college football, and want to know whats going on around the country.

I remember a day back in 1978 from Crumbling Old Archbold when they announced the score of a Yankees-Red Sox game ... and the crowd went wild.

'Wake' was playing 'India', (they lost).

Last we they had a score "North 7 South 7". I thought the Civil War was over.

People want to know college football scores because they are college football fans. You don't have to be gamblers.

How hard would it be to use 3 letter acronyms for the out of town scores? Some schools would only require 2 letters.

Fine, I'll stand down. I don't understand how I can read tweets and Facebook posts from the Dome all game long but no one can seem to catch a signal. But I hope they fix the OOT scores for you degenerate gamblers. ;)

Gamblers? How about college football fans interested in games being played simultaneously while they're in the building supporting our team?

It really isn't that difficult to make these updates, but yet somehow we mange to screw it up year after year, despite the new ribbons. It isn't a difficult problem to correct.

i was told once they paid a service to provide the scores. they pay too much for too little. shoot hire a student to watch the espn ticker and update 10-20 scores.

yankee/ met scores especially during playoff time are important to people in central ny.

wait a couple weeks when they mix sports and NY is beating NJ and you wonder if its baseball or hockey or arena football?

I don't think you know what standing down means!
