Because I'm pretty sure he hasn't played in the 2nd half of a close game all year.cooney looked like a deer in headlights when he touched the ball in the second half.
Getting "tired" is a non issue, IMO. These guys are 19-22 years old, highly conditioned, and used to playing hard 6 days a week. Granted game conditions are much more demanding, but they have more than 24 hours to recover. They might be getting beat up/bruised from playing, but I don't think being "tired" will be an issue.
I'm not tired. Wide awake, Fired up, Get me to MSG, I WANNA PLAY SOME BALL!
I wasn't talking about tomorrow. We went a long stretch about 8 minutes into the half without scoring and then TOs on consecutive possetions...and then were late getting out on a made 3. From that point we were hanging on. Happy it worked.WAY OVERRATED IN COLLEGE BASKETBALL.
a 6OT game - kids get tired by the end of the game. but can play 18 hours later.
back to back to back to back to back to back to back nights..... (40 min games) in the same arena? Not an issue.
I played 10 AAU games in 3 or 4 days.
Now, a back to back in the NBA with 3.5 hours of mid-night travel is a different story.

Honestly, if it didn't matter at all, coaches would only play 6.
I'm still waiting for Kemba Walker to get tired.
