Seems like he got tripped up in his application of the Boeheiming though. The idea that JB is somehow pandering to the home town crowd by "boeheiming" DC2 doesn't make any sense. It looks like igor had to call a time out on that one - he'll be back.

Yeah we play zone and thats different so what? Louisville played zone and thats different and won last year. Kentucky plays 5 freshmen and 3 sophmores and they won it all, thats different also. North carolina was the most loaded team in the country 3-4 years ago and won it all that was different. Uconn was a 9 seed in the BET with like 12 losses and won it all that was different.

So Fair isn't the answer even with his awesome consistent 3 years of service but Roberson who's shown nothing in the exhibitions and first few games is? Give me a break, worst thing on here I've heard on here since he was was anointed ready and as good as Billy Owens coming in.

Yes I'd say roberson would need a little work to get up to Owens freshman 13ppg average. Not a Joie Chitwood type stunt to pull off, so it's still possible.

The people on here who said that Roberson would be starting at some point this season proved they know a lot less than they think they do. I saw Roberson in person in high school; he's very good, just nowhere near ready. He needs to slow down. And the comparisons to Billy Owens were lol awful.

He's a bull in a china shop right now and IMO he's playing out of position on offense. He's basically playing Jerami's position as the forward flashing to the high post. That position requires patience and sound decision-making, two things TR lacks right now. He's getting the ball and he looks like he's trying to make something happen right away; usually he's been shooting a jump shot (and not making it). He should be playing the 4 in our system, at least this year. I've never debated the kid's talent; it's just that the comparisons to Billy Owens are lol ridiculous. I think Roberson is a star-in-the-making. He will not be a big contributor this year though.

Not that I should have to defend myself against the likes of the same people who panic the minute we're down to any team, any game, but a question was asked and I said Roberson has the potential to be as good if not better than Owens. In the grand scheme of things (NBA wink wink), I still feel this is possible. Just for the record, anyone who tries to make someone look like an idiot might as well ignore me because I have already done so to them.

I don't panic. I'm a realist. I said last night the game would be close because of the way we were playing (and because St Francis turned the game into a rock fight) and that we were in trouble. All I said was the pace favored them and the game would be in the upper 50s/ low 60s. I was proven correct, as the team was on the ropes in crunch time. I also said we'd win the game (by 7--we won by 6). Just because not everyone is an eternal optimist, doesn't make them a panic case.

And tee: my Billy Owens comment was not directed as a slam at you at all. Some people on the board were saying Roberson was the equivalent of Billy Owens coming out of high school, and that comparison is ridiculous, since Billy Owens was a high school LEGEND. I hope he turns out as good as Billy and he certainly could. He's not there yet. Scouts look at him and see his obvious talent. I never doubted his talent, but watching him play for Syracuse, it's obvious that right now, Roberson is not ready for meaningful minutes in tough games. JB obviously agrees or TR would've seen the court with most of our bigs struggling last night.
