In addition, kids/families will be immersed in the football program because the team is actually practicing etc. The only thing they miss with a basketball game is the crowd atmosphere of the hoop game. It's a nice perk for visiting kids/families but at the end of the day spring time might be a better overall experience, and might end up drawing more kids because traveling and weather won't be a concern.
