Really believe he can contribute in this league. Week or so back I remember Barkley knocking the Suns for not giving their young players like Wes and Kendall Marshall a chance.

He definitely needs to get out of there and get a shot somewhere...Them playing Dudly and whoever else it is ahead is foolish...He needs playing time, he has talent.

Dudley is a solid NBA rotational player.

At the end of the day, it doesn't matter what team Wes goes to. He just isn't all that great at anything specifically related to basketball. It happens. Great guy who is hopefully smart with his earnings.

I feel for Wes. Thought with the coaching change he would get his chance. Heard from a friend who works for the Suns that the old coach was not happy with the trade last summer, and that is why he never played Wes. Now he is gone, thought it would make a difference.

He must not be doing enough in practice to earn playing time which is sad because that roster sucks.

For all I know, you might be right, but this is said about every single SU alum in the NBA as a reason why they aren't performing. Like clockwork.

I know he is a solid player, I was just saying just because there are people ahead of him there is still no reason to not get some amount of time.
I think he can produce on the right team.

This is the third coaching regime (or is it 4th) that he has not been able to convince he should be getting more playing time. Maybe its Wes and his particular skill set and not the situation.

Wes is turning 26 in a few months; he's young, but he's not exactly that young by NBA standards. Kendall Marshall is 4 years younger than him; that's a young player.

Just curious...what have you seen so far from him in the NBA that leads you to believe he can be a contributor somewhere?

I've watched a good amount of his games and would love to be able to find a glimmer of hope. I can't find anything promising about what he has shown.

Can't wait for next seasons, "Wes needs to get of Milwaukee!!!" threads...

does Milwaukee have a franchise in the Turkish league?

I thought Wes had turned the corner in the second half of last season and showed indications that he could be a "3 and D" wing specialist, but he has shown no value on either end of the floor this year.

His NBA career is over.

Someone desperate might offer him the minimum exception...probably not though.

I think a year over seas would do him well. I still think his issues are largely mental

Who would have guessed that both Jonny and Wes wouldnt see a 2nd contract?

How do you figure?
Because his "game" is better than guys who have found a niche in the NBA. He has the size and athleticism but mentally he hasn't figured it out. I think a complete change of environment where nobody knows him could help him figure things out mentally.

I really don't think his game is all that impressive at the NBA level.

I was hoping he could put up Tayshaun type production and have a nice career, but it hasn't worked out. He is just not assertive enough.

Wes is a great guy, an elite athlete and has a great shooting stroke, but he lacks that fire that is required to compete at the highest level.
