His rebounding is still putrid, but I would argue that his faults on D are pretty much limited to his play on the boards and around the rim. His one on one D in m2m I would argue has been just as good as anyone else we have out there on the floor. Rim protection situations are overall his second worst area besides the boards, but he has gotten his fair share of blocks this season, both chasedown and in help defense situations. Active hands has lead to some steals too. He is good in the press when we use it. He is a fast athletic guy and that is most apparent with his play on the defensive end. Some team defense errors and space cadet moments, but again I could say the same from almost everyone in our defense.

He has earned the 29 mins a game he is averaging. On a perfect team he plays less, but we don't have that right now. He has stepped up on offense at a time when almost nobody else has. His defense has improved. If Red had him just playing brief spot mins off the bench (something SEVERAL on this board wanted preseason) we would be a much worse team. But Red trusts him despite his faults and we can see why.
