How good was it being an SU fan living in NC's Triangle yesterday and today? A pure delight!
Sunday's News and Observer (largest circulation in the state) coverage of SU's win over NCSU, including a piece by its dean of sportwriters taking about how impressive the win was.
Then today, on regional ESPN affiliated radio (99.9 The Fan), the two biggest sportstalk radio shows (David Glenn, then Adam & Joe) being mostly talk about SU BB. From how loaded the team is, to how pleased callers/host were over the prospect of the high quality of BB SU will bring to the ACC, to the first and second half "put the pedal down" runs SU made, to how the selection of SU and Pitt by the ACC will be the singular FB-driven expansion/shift that actually improves a conference's BB prowess by leaps and bounds, to how deep SU is with multiple scorers that make up for off-games by teammates and with players that might raise an already very good 2-3 zone to greatness. And to top it all off, several calls/comments about how large and vocal the SU fan contigent was at the RBC Center for the game, and how much more fun that presence will make NCSU, Duke, UNC and even Wake Forest games in the future.
So, for as long as it lasts, it's a great SU-positive media ride down here......
