Major college sports really are like many other jobs now where an employee (player) gets in trouble (underperforms), but keeps getting paid (scholarship) and is placed on administrative leave and no longer allowed to perform their job duties (play on the team). Or they can choose to resign and seek other employment (portal/transfer) Also, drastically reduces any chance we have any players who struggle freshman/sophomore year, but finally break out their junior or senior year.
