Future 4 team playoff (2014-2025)
(1) Alabama (2) Florida State
(4) Baylor/Stanford (3) Ohio State
* Negative- If this was happening this year, Big 12 or Pac 12 might not have a representative. Strong conferences might not represent.
* Positive- Two weeks length for student athletes and no fluff games!
Possible 8 team playoff (Top teams in AQ plus 3 at large)
(1) Alabama (2) Florida State
(8) Clemson (7) South Carolina
(4) Baylor (6) Oregon
(5) Stanford (3) Ohio State
* Negative- Teams like Northern Illinois/Fresno State would never have a chance to make the playoff.
* Positive- No Fluff games and 3 week length still ok for student athletes.
Possible 16 team playoff (Top 2 teams from AQ conferences plus 6 at large)
(1) Alabama (2) Florida State
(16) Northern Illinois (15) Fresno State
(8) Clemson (7) South Carolina
(9) Oklahoma State (10) UCLA
(5) Stanford (6) Oregon
(12) Texas A&M (11) Auburn
(4) Baylor (3) Ohio State
(13) Michigan State (14) Missouri
* Positives- Best system would allow the opportunity for all conferences and teams opportunity to win and would match March Madness!
* Negative- Fluff games are possible and 4 week length could cause issues with student athletes.
