Not absolving any "blame" from Marrone in this, but IMO this departure says a lot about the University's commitment to investing in the cultivation of our football program.
I think that the AD and BOT need to decide what they want the football program to be when it grows up. ACC money is great, but if we don't commit to playing in the big leagues--which will require substantial investment to upgrade the football support infrastructures currently in place [i.e., massive facilities overhaul]--we aren't going to ever get over the hump.
Disappointing.
