Are we going to see teams switching conferences? Going independent? This is a very peculiar situation we’re in.

How can a conference tell a school what sports they can and can’t play in...I don’t see how they have that power over the individual school. If Ohio State wants to play football, aren’t they just gonna play football? Granted they need to find teams to play against.

could this be the cause of the next seismic shift in conferences/alignments?

There’s got to be all kinds of legal/contractual hurdles to jump if the goal is to switch conferences.
I don’t see how that can happen in a month.

They don't play.

Has it been announced if all practices and other team functions are off the table as well in the two conferences?

If Nebraska all the sudden start practicing with pads and helmets then I guess we may know what they are thinking.

Can schools that postpone their seasons until the spring still practice every day this fall like they are having a season?

Seems like that would be an unfair to teams in the ACC, Big12 and SEC unless they remove the practice session limit in the spring.

College Football changed forever on 8/11/20. The NCAA is no more and unity among the conferences is dead and buried. Conferences went into business for themselves and long term this isn't a good thing.
Pac 12/Big 10 aligned themselves (let's call them WCW). ACC/SEC aligned themselves (lets call them the nWo) and the Big 12 has to decide which side they are joining and it looks like they are gonna be nWo 4-life at this point from all reports (lol, inside joke maybe 1/3 of this board will understand)

I bet when some of these Bowl agreements/tie-in's come up you see a fracture and you see more SEC/ACC/Big12 bowl game match-up's and you see less SEC-Big 10 tie-in's. Everyone had to pick a side and now the dominoes will start to fall and we will start to see long term affects of what is happening now in our history.
