Shhhhhh Don't Tell Anyone... I agree the one SINGLE thing done correctly yesterday is Southerland at the foul line area. What bothers me is why hasn't he been there all year? JB THIS IS HOW THE CURRENT TEAM BEATS A ZONE! AMAZING WE PLAY ZONE EXCLUSIVELY BUT WE DON'T KNOW HOW TO BEAT IT CONSISTENTLY?? OK someone send this message to JB: MCW IS POINT, HOT SHOOTER: EITHER TRICHE, DION OR JOSEPH AT THE TWO GUARD, SOUTHY AT THE FOUL LINE, If CJ playing well, he should roam the baseline and if Southy doesn't shoot it CJ should get a pick from christmas for a baseline jump shot. if Southy has space he dribbles once or twice and lobs or bounce passes to either the 4/5. If this lineup practiced these plays there is no way we don't blow that team out yesterday. You have a 6'5 point guard with great vision and passing ability in MCW and with Southy you have a 6'8 point forward. BUT WE CAN'T FIND SHOTS and we can't find shots. It's truly amazing to me that after JB has watched teams methodically tear apart the zone from the foul line pivot point for 10-12 years. But we only use this tactic for like 1/6 of the game? This should be practiced every week. If you have guys hitting the three then you use CJ at the foul line as a pivot to look at perimeter as well. in that case rather Southy takes mid range it alley oop lob. Calhoun would drop a hundo on our zone with our roster. All of our mid range shooting ability from guys 6'7-6'8" its pathetic and scary IMO because you can just tell there is no comfort which you would see if you ran these plays 5,000 times a year in practice. Can anyone explain what they do in practice? I'm guessing they launch a lot of threes. JB teams should crush EVERY ZONE INSIDE OUT, IT'S CALLED PRACTICE!
