McCollough was still on this team?

Imagine the length on that front line with both he and Lydon on the floor?

Malachi more minutes at the the 2...

Or, is this team better when they can move Gbinije to the back of the zone and run with three guards on the floor.

I have been excited watching combos of Gbinije, Richardson, Cooney and Howard on the floor.

In felt like the guards dominated the game against Gonzaga, they could get to the rim at will.

They just weren't making shots.

Can they stay hot for two more games?

Tough call, I didn't get to see enough of McCullough play. But against Gonzaga, part of out success was because their guards just weren't all that good.

I don't like playing "what-if" games because what if the dynamic was completely different with him on the team and certain key contributors on this team weren't getting the playing time and developing the chemistry that they have going right now?

McCullough who? We had a player named McCullough? Don't remember him.

The guy who showed up here for about 1/3 of a season, played so-so and then his leg fell off. With leg in hand he then hopped over to the NBA, a league in such dire need of players that it makes sense to draft pogo sticks.

Yeah, I feel the same way. But the guy was oozing with potential and it would've given there front line a combined wingspan long enough to wrap around the world twice.

So it is an intriguing "what if" to ponder...

Strange seeing Ennis on the floor with CJ and Rak, as recent BB alumni joining the celebration. He'd be junior on this team. A different era now for sure.

Wouldn't trade this team for anything this year. Yes it would be different with McCullough or Ennis but the guys we have our special.

We could have McC, Diagne, and Bryant and lost in 1st round. Doesnt matter, these guys we have got it done

But Diagne did not qualify and Bryant chose not to come here at all. McCollough was the one guy who was here and suffered a season ending injury before proving he could even be an above average college player. speak nothing of the NBA. He is the one guy that it would've seemed had every need and motivation to come back one more year to prove himself.

Ultimately I agree that his absence on this team may be one of the very factors that have led to this final 4. With no depth and little size inside, they have embraced this guard oriented attack that has benefited Richardson for sure, Howard has also come on nicely.

But given we are a week away from the semi-finals, thought this would be an interesting distraction...
