What is the harm in allowing college athletes to have agents?

Why can't college athletes get paid through agencies, promotions, advertising deals, etc.?

Why can't college football/basketball players enter the draft and if they're not drafted, they can go back to school if they wish? Hell, even if they get drafted and want to play for a college program a year or two, why not? Doesn't the NHL do that?

Don't tell me it would ruin recruiting parity. THERE IS NONE.

From a truly logical standpoint - what's the issue?
 
NBA needs to adopt the hockey rule and get it over with.
 
It is ridiculous that they aren't allowed to get professional advice while in college. Ridiculous.
 
Are high school baseball players allowed to go to college after getting drafted by an MLB team?

Yes, happens all the time. As long as they don’t sign a contract or take money from an agent or any of that stuff. I had a player get drafted out of HS in the 21st round. Chose college.
