in the end zone. I don't think there is any question that Lee Evans had a second foot down in the end zone with possession. Then, the ball is stripped. He wasn't hit to the ground so he did not have to maintain possession through a fall. He is in the end zone so he doesn't have to make a football play to establish possession as if he were in the open field. Isn't possession in the end zone a touchdown regardless of what happens after. I mean if a runner crosses the threshold and then fumbles, it's still a touchdown once he crosses. Doesn't the same reasoning apply to catches in the end zone.

What am I missing here?

I don't think he had his second foot down, regardless the booth should have taken a look at it.

he didnt have his 2nd foot down and the booth took a look at it.

thats what you are missing.

Oh Lord

Missed the game, barely saw the hightlight. Endzone rules are fustrating. The Packers beat the Giants with a guy bobbling a ball through the end zone a couple of months back, yet you can hit the pileon (sp?) with the ball and it's a TD.
