I thought it was our 44s that look kind of like 10th mountain
It is - we adopted the symbol in reference to when we used to train w/ them during the off season.

It's one of the few things that Nike did that was pretty cool.

As a 10th mountain guy, I loved when they rolled those out. They started training up there a year after I left Drum

I was half right. I knew it had something to do with 10th Mountain. It's a cool emblem and this old salt would wear the SU version of the shirt, Army/Navy game withstanding. My friends offer this shirt for Mountain vets (CuseTroop):
