What is the Syracuse program benchmark?

Anyone watching the Bama game? At the end of the first half Bama knew to take a TO to avoid a run off of time that made Auburn punt. While nothing came of it, it was a smart move that forced an extra play. We missed so many of those chances over these last few years. Smart coaching wins games. Depends who we get, but I think we can def make a bowl.

There are 40 bowl games. Just about every team should have a goal of getting into a bowl so I completely agree with you.
Teams are going to have off years but going bowling is not an elite goal.

Right now we are not an elite program. My goal for this program is to go to a bowl every year. That means every year we will be at least 6-6. That is my goal for this program right now. Once we do that on a regular basis then I will adjust my thinking but right now I expect to be .500 and in a bowl game every year.

I thought 8 wins too before opening this thread. I know it most likely won't happen right away but 8 should be the average for our program. That means there will be 6 win and 10 win seasons every now and then as well.

Then top 25 each year.

Then ACC division contenders.

Then ACC titles.

Then CFP.

Then promotion to NFL.

7-5 with some 8-4 and 9-3 mixed in at times. just don't see SU in this college football landscape ever winning the ACC. Hope I'm wrong
