What is with the Option type fake handoffs?

Minnesota did not bite one time on the Nassib option type delay fake handoff. Will he ever pull the ball back from the back and take off? Nassib slides when he need 2 yards for a first, and dives headfirst on meaningless scrambles. I just do not understand the wasted plays. It set up zip. We havent ran it to this point, and no way was Minn going to key on Nassib for the run. Any loss brings coach questions, but the playcalling was bizarre at best. You can point to any number of at least a dozen pure headscratching calls. I sure as hell hope something changes. The most emotion Marrone showed the entire game, was the TD to Sales with 40 secs. Doug looked like he was in a trance most of the game. How do you bring a team to Ft Drum for toughness training, and show all the emotion of a guy who just woke up from a nap. Ill be there for Pitt as I always am, I sure hope something changes. Go Cuse.

It slows down the RB, clogs up the middle, and doesn't really fool anybody.

Bingo, im begging anyone from SU who reads this board to please stop with the Nassib runs. The guy is not a runner and slides at the first sight of a defender even if he is still 5+ yards away. That play is only going to end in disaster moving forward.

It's a zone read, and Nassib isn't fast enough to run it. And by fast enough, I don't mean his running speed, but I mean his decision making.
