Tis the time of year for unrealistic hopes and expectations. Here I go.

Locks:
Cisco
Jonathan

Potential:
Trill
Iffy
Harris

Dark Horses:
Tommy
AAdams
Hackett
Benson
Bergeron

I would move Benson to Potential based off his speed and the way offenses are evolving in the NFL, otherwise list looks solid.
Fair.

I think Hackett’s incredibly underrated on this team as well.

I love benson but he is kind of stiff in the hips
Cisco Reaps the reward of his hype from his frosh year pics ( good for him ) if tommy has a descent line he will be a lock as his combine and or pro day performance and measurables will be near the top in every catagory but again he needs some protection .trill and iffy have a good shot as well . Let’s face facts we don’t have a big pipeline lately going to the NFL

Disagree about Taj. It is really hurt to get drafted as a WR.
Want to know the last time we had a WR drafted?

Mike Williams in 2010.

Harris is really skinny, shows no sign of getting stronger, doesn’t like contact and has average hands. I don’t see it. If he got serious about wanting to be better, maybe. I think right now he is a wasted talent. It isn’t too late. Perhaps he will turn things around. He will probably be the featured WR this season. I think it is now or never for him.

I would put Andre Cisco in the potential category. Andre Szymt belongs here. I would also include Jawhar Jordan here. If he can get up to 180 pounds and retain his speed, he might move into best chance.

I would put Iffy and Trill in the best chance category. They have the size, speed and athletic ability to get drafted. If they stay healthy, they will.

I would put Kingsley, McKinley and Josh in the potential category, along with Tommy. They all could get drafted late with good showings this season.

Bergeron is undersized as a tackle. He might get drafted but if he is, it will be as an interior lineman. It is going to be tough for him if he stays outside.

I think Servais and Bleich have better chances to get drafted. Servais is very mobile for his size. If he can get a bit stronger, he has a chance. It looks like Bleich has the athletic ability but he was hurt most of his frosh season.

I won’t even bother to consider the incoming freshmen. Too young.
We will know a lot more by the end of the season. If there is a season.

Thoughts on Hack if he builds off last year?

Iffy & Trill are the only two that jump out to me as NFL-type players.

Cisco is not an NFL safety, IMO. He may have ball skills but he can't cover well enough.

Taj was terrible last year. If he could add 20 pounds and give a crap, he could stick in the league for a bit. His RAC skills are NFL quality already.

I think Hackett is an excellent college TE and is going to have a big year for Syracuse. I am a big fan.

However, IMHO, It will be tough for him to get drafted and play in the NFL. The TEs drafted tend to be taller, heavier and faster. Freak athletes. Benson has a better chance because of his excellent speed but he will have to do a lot of work in the weight room to get the attention of the NFL. Steven Mahar or Maximilian Mang have the frames to possibly appear on these kinds of lists in a few years.

FYI, here is a list of the top TE prospects for the 2020 draft. It is a very high standard.

I like Iffy and Trill's chances, Cisco and Szymt I think can make it as well. If Ishamel couldn't get drafted a couple years ago I can't see how Taj can right now.

agree with almost all the comments. Trill, Cisco and Iffy all legit. but no one at this point is a lock. All have to get better and some other guys who aren’t even in the discussion now will be there when the season is over.
TD will be an nfl quarterback, possibly a great one. His arm is elite. He’s smart, hard working, can move and is self-reflective enough to learn what he doesn’t know. Aaron was 245 this spring and will be 250 or so by draft time. He catches everything and blocks at a very high level, which is a combination nfl demands in a tight end. Servais is talented, smart as hell, moves well and is a great leader. Think he makes it. Benson‘s talent is obvious.

Taj has pro talent already imo. His issue is work ethic and attitude.

Cisco is a first day pick. Alton would have been one as well if his 2019 went as well as his 2018 did.

2020 is going to make or break some dreams. A better offensive line improves everyone's prospects on that side of the ball.
