Worst game.: Florida State in the '97 NIT. 5,000 fans in an arena that could seat 5-6 times that. The scoreboard wasn't working. The team didn't want to be there and played like it. The Noles were the essence of mediocrity and won easily. It was a year after we lost a valiant battle to a Kentucky team with 9 future NBA guys for the national title. The 'Cuse wasn't in the house a year later.

Biggest hosing: Navy '86. They attempted 54 free throws. We attempted 21. David Robinson committed about 9-10 fouls but didn't foul out until 30 seconds were left. Yet all you heard about was what a great game he played and how he was unstoppable. By the way the free throw attempt count in the earlier Notre Dame was 18-49. But that one didn't matter like the Navy game did.

Spear in the chest game: 1988, Georgetown. Sherman Douglas hits the apparent game-winner and then, with no time out, Charles Smith comes down and hit the real one at the buzzer. Mike Lupica crows that this proves who the best point guard in the Big East is.

Most deflating game: Losing the 24 point lead to UMASS in 2008. Yeah, it was an NIT game but Boeheim-bashers ruled the board in a 21-14 season and when we were up 24, I felt that at least they'd be silent after this game. Then everything bad that could happen does and we lose. I don't even know what was posted on the board afterward because I didn't bother reading it for a week.
